Tsevlo residents visited Philosophovy historical and cultural center
On the 10th of April, the most active residents of Tsevlo village visited the excursion to Bezhanitsky historical and cultural center of the Philosophovy. The trip was organized by Polistovsky Reserve.
Guests of the Philosophovy center got acquainted with the history of Bezhanitsy settlement and surrounding lands, which echoes the history of Tsevlo village and the entire bogside lands in many respects. Tsevlo residnts also got acquainted with the work of the museum; and were surprised to find that tourists are interested not only in exhibits with centuries of history, but also in recently used objects of Soviet lifestyle.
During the excursion, the visitors learned about the history of the building of the Philosophovy's Estate and visited the expositions dedicated to the peasant life in Bezhanitsky Volost, the history of the region and famous people who lived here, the years of the World War II, the history of Bezhanitsky district in the 20th century and Polistovsky Reserve.
At the end of the excursion the guests of the historical and cultural center visited an exhibition of souvenirs: toys, wooden dishes, paintings of wool, knitted articles made by the masters of Bezhanitsky district. Tsevlo residents noted that they also know how to make some of the presented souvenirs.
