Gift from the colleagues from Belarus
New interesting reference and methodical books " Mammal activity signs: Atlas, identification keys and research methods" were presented to Polistovsky Reserve by the co-author of the book Vadim Sidorovich - zoologist, phylosophy doctor, and senior researcher of the Institute of Zoology of The National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.
The book is a great helper for defining activity signs of various mammals that inhabit the forest zone of Europe. It presents a variety of mammal activity signs, and also methods of analysis of these signs. We thank Vadim Sidorovich for the books given to Polistovsky Reserve, as well as for the work and unique information, gathered on the pages of the Atlas. It will be very useful data for the scientific department and inspectors of Polistovsky Reserve.
In addition to the above, it should be noted that Vadim Sidorovich isn’t only engaged in scientific research, but also organizes ecological tours, and specifically - showing animals in the wilderness. More information about this can be found on the Naust eco station website: wolfing.info
