The results of the competition for young leaders "Ambassadors of protected areas" have been summed up.
During 2020-2021, 15 young people will take part in an educational program and work with brand development of one of the 15 protected areas in Russia.
So, the winners were 15 participants from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Tambov, Simferopol, Irkutsk, Kazan, Arkhangelsk and other cities of Russia. Ahead of them is a year of training and project activities in the conservation areas, as well as a trip to the Crimea, challenges and work with mentors from protected areas.
The Polistovsky Reserve will be represented by Ekaterina Semyonova, among her professional interests are botany, biotechnology and plant physiology, and her hobbies include cycling, traveling, and waste collection.
Ekaterina is a student of the Vernadsky Crimean Federal University. She had already been in the Polistovsky Reserve, and in 2019 she took part in an inventory of mosses in the protected area.
