Autumn photo exhibitions of Polistovsky Reserve in the universities of Pskov region
Since the beginning of the school year, two photo exhibitions of Polistovsky Reserve are opened in Pskov State University: "Autumn" and "Cranberry Tour", and in Velikie Luki State Agricultural Academy during September you can admire the exposition dedicated to the feathered inhabitants of the Reserve.
The photo exhibition "Autumn" is an impressive bog landscapes, bright autumn colors, Polistovsky plants and animals, and guests of the bog - people shot by photographers in the open vastnesses of the Reserve. Photos made by Andrian Kolotilin, Alexander Ryabinin and Mikhail Yablokov.
"Cranberry tour" is an author's photo exhibition by Darya Morgunova, created on the basis of impressions from the trip to Polistovsky Reserve. Pictures allow you to virtually visit the "Cranberry Tour": they show nature of the raised bog, historical and cultural excursions, traditions of harvesting cranberries, and local cuisine.
Both exhibitions are located on the first floor of the faculty of natural sciences, medical and psychological education of Pskov State University and will stay there til the end of September.
In September in Velikie Luki students of the Agricultural Academy will also be able to get acquainted with Polistovsky, namely, with the birds. Pictures of the authorship of the famous wildlife photographer Andrian Kolotilin show typical and rare inhabitants of the protected area, which nest, feed and bring off the nestlings on the raised bog and along the banks of the surrounding rivers. The photo exhibition is located on the first floor of the main building of the Academy.
In addition to exhibitions in the universities, in the middle of September a photo exhibition "Protected Areas of Russia" will open at "Pobeda" cinema in Pskov; and an exhibition dedicated to ecotourism, nature and work of Polistovsky Reserve will be opened in the House of Culture (Velikiye Luki city).
