Polistovsky National Nature Reserve was established on the 25th of May, 1994.

The goal of Polistovsky reserve

Polistovsky reserve was created to preserve and research the natural course of natural processes and phenomena, genetic basis of flora and fauna, separate species and communities of plants and animals typical and unique ecological systems.

Tasks managed by Polistovsky Reserve:

• Protection of the territory
• Ecological monitoring and scientific research
• Environmental education and interpretation
  
• Ecological tourism development
